Alphacore Introduction

As stated in my Threads account:
As a form of mental health I’ve decided to embark on a #worldbuilding project. I’m not always patient with names, so I’m simply calling this one AlphaCore. I really enjoy thinking about how tech can make “magic” work, with the quote from Arthur C. Clarke in mind, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”.
Initial location consists of a number of floating landmasses on a Saturn like planet. The story lines of three main characters help focus the world building effort.
- Field notes from a scientist of an off world space faring species (OWS1) initially investigating the planet. This narrative exists in the distant past.
- Log output from a robot originally brought to the planet by OWS1. The robot has been badly damaged but it’s main processor is still intact during the present day. The log output is the processor coming back online after a long shut down.
- Narrative from a low tech indigenous individual who is an ancestor of a servant class to OWS1 and unaware of history due to conflict between OWS1 and another space faring species (OWS2) which triggered an apocalyptic event on the planet. This indigenous species (IS1) has evolved the ability to tap into the same energy source OWS1 and OWS2 use for their tech.
